Riding this hundred-year-old carousel really takes you back, and will bring out the child in anyone. The carousel’s own history goes back to turn-of-the-last-century Brooklyn, New York before making its way to St. Catharines in 1921.
The beautifully restored horses, lions, camels, and goats – 68 in all – were all carved by hand. And how charming is it that it still only costs a nickel per ride?
The carousel is open daily from Victoria Day weekend until Labour Day weekend. Check website for hours.
