Open seasonally, The Railway Station in historic Opeongo Square operates as a visitor information centre. The Station has free WiFi, a public washroom, and Township staff to help you find out things to do in Madawaska Valley.
The Station, which is still in its original location, has been lovingly restored and is also home to the Railway Station Museum, a growing collection of railway artefacts and information on the origins of Barry’s Bay. Run by a group of volunteers known as the Station Keepers, this museum provides heritage information and cultural programming. Just around the corner from the station is Barry’s Bay’s original wooden water tower – the last of its kind in the province!
